What to Wear - Spring Dress

 Hello everyone.
Today is what to wear day! We are wearing spring dresses this week, and honestly I was so excited when I saw this theme! I love my dresses and had trouble deciding which one I wanted to wear for this week. But I finally did and I came up with this outfit!

Dress, Marden's, No  brand, 13$
Glasses, Marden's, 50 cents
Earings, Walmart, 1$
Necklace, Thrifted, 1$
Belt, I have no idea, old.
Socks, Kohl's (I think), 1$
Shoes, Marden's, Joe Boxer, 3$

I really liked this outfit for some reason, I have a feeling I'll probably wear it a few times. This dress fits like a glove and I feel so good in it. I wouldn't usually pay 13 bucks for a dress but I loved it and I can tell it is really good quality, it should last me a long time.
My mom said this outfit reminded her of what she would have worn in the 80's. I've never really loved 80's style, but I guess I'll take it as a good thing.
I was really bumbed that I had to miss the last what to wear but I'm so glad I could do it this weeks.
If you want to check out the other great ladies who are showing off their dresses this week head over to Nicole's blog Gypsy in Jasper to see who's linked up.
And if you would like to join us next time we'll be back on May 30th to wear our Power Outfits.
I hope you all have a great day!

Sorry!

I am so sorry! I haven't forgotten about blogging, and I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.
I just haven't had time. That sounds like a lame excuse but it's true. There has been loads of things going on with my family, I'm not going to go into detail at the moment, but please believe me when I say it has been a very hard and sad few weeks.
But I promise soon I will be back to blogging, life should start to calm down soon.
Thank you all for staying with me, and again I'm sorry.
I hope you all have a great day!

What to Wear - While Exercising

Hello everyone and welcome to another round of what to wear!
So this week we are showing off what we wear to exercise... Let me put it this way I don't exercise. I'm already running around to much for day to day life to have time or want to exercise. So I just kind of winged it and put on what I thought looked like a good outfit . I know that sounds lazy, but honestly I did the best I could.

I dont remember where I got any of this and none of it has brands other then the shoes.
Shoes, Marden's, Fashion Bug, 6$

I know this is a really boring outfit, and I know I could have done better, but I think I  would really wear this if I exercised. Would I wear it out? Probably not, but I like it. I love these leg warmers they are so soft and warm, and I think they are just really cute.
I felt so awkward posing in this outfit haha. I don't know if I would ever be able to go to a gym with out being severely self conscious. I really need to start doing a few crunches though.
Don't forget to go over to Nicole's blog Gypsy in Jasper  to see what all of the other ladies wear well they burn calories. Next time we are going to be doing What to wear for a casual coffee date, on may 2nd. So if you would like to join up just blog your look then and add your link to our link up!
Have a great day everybody!

What I Wore: "I Wake Up to the Sound of Music"

Ello
So for the last 2 days I have been listening to old music almost constantly. The Beatles being the main band. It's no secret that I love old music, well actually I love old everything pretty much, I really think I was probably born in the wrong generation. But hey I like this generation a lot, my life would not be the same if I didn't have a computer.

Shirt, Walmart, Faded Glory, 1$
Beatles shirt, Walmart, 1$
Jeans, Walmart, No Boundaries, 5$
Shoes, Marden's, Keds, 10$

I am always some what ashamed when I have to admit that I buy clothes at Walmart. I honestly hate Walmart, I don't even really like shopping there, but there just isn't that much of a choice here for shopping. And I mean come on when they have racks of great clothes marked down to a buck, how can you not enjoy it a little? And I don't think you can really tell that almost this whole outfit was from Walmart can you?
This is the longest my hair has probably ever been and I am totally loving it! I am having a little trouble with styling since I've never really had long hair to style, but I'm getting better at it. I'm really loving putting it off to one side in pony tails, but I really want to branch into some other styles too.
I totally have spring fever even though spring still doesn't really seem to be here yet. It doesn't feel like this gloom will ever end. And I know I talk about the weather way to much.
Anyways I hope you're all having a great week!

What I Wore: Sea Rose

Hey hey,
So over the last few weeks I have done a relatively huge clothing purge. I got rid of a ton of stuff that I didn't even wear. My dresser was left kind of empty. So thanks to sales and gift cards I got for my birthday I was able to restock my dresser with things that I will actually wear and really love. So that brings me to this outfit.

Tank top,  Label Shopper,  Arizona, 3$
Cardigan,  American Eagle, Was my mothers
Jeans, Label Shoper, American Eagle, 15$
Shoes, Marden's, 2$
Necklace, Label Shopper, 2$
Hair flower, I have no clue.

I want to start off by saying, I never spend that much on jeans usually, but I had a gift card, they fit perfectly and I just loved them. I've already worn them a lot. Even though they are a floral print they seem to go with everything. Plus they seem like really nice quality so I think they will last a long time.
I had a 50$ gift card for Label Shopper and I got so much stuff! I know they don't have Label Shopper everywhere but if you have one anywhere near you go! They have amazing things, good brands and great prices. I love them.
I wore this outfit (minus the impractical shoes) the last time I was down town by the ocean, I love drinking a coffee and looking at the water. I can't wait till it's warm enough to enjoy it more.
I have come to realize that I am simply awkward at posing for outfit photos. I'm going to blame it on having minimal space to work with. Hopefully this summer I can go outside and take my outfit photos, maybe I'll be less awkward that way.
Does anyone have any tips for posing for photos when you're using a tripod and a timer to take them?
Hope you all have a great day!

Thrifting Haul

Hello hello
I thought I'd do a thrift shop haul post today. I was going to do these every month, but I let it slip because I just haven't been finding a lot. But now with spring cleaning and all it's picking up a lot. Here are some of my favorite finds

This little fish purse is just great! I'd never actually use it because is tiny and it doesn't open well but for 50 cents it was worth it!

Okay so this bird might look terrible (most of my family called it road kill) I just love it, its painted  cement I think, and I just think it's so cool! plus they gave it to me for free since it's so beat up.

I love old travel things and things about places. This has some great photos in it  and it looks really good sitting on top of my vintage suitcases. It cost me a a quarter.

I love vintage bags, I have a nice little collection, but this one I think might be my favorite so far, you can't see all the detail in this photo but it is just perfect. I think I paid maybe a dollar for it.

So I mentioned a few posts back that I had gotten some killer vests recently and here's two of them. Both look way better in person then in the photos but I love them. the first one is suede with that cool croquet detailing I think it will look great over summer dresses. the second one is Vintage and made of wool and pleather. I love how mod it is. I don't know how I'll wear it yet but I love it!  Both were in 2 dollar a bag sales

How could I say no to a vintage belt with light houses on it? for 50 cents I couldn't.
This belt is far to big for me, but I think I'm going to make a bracelet or something out of the buckle. 50 cents.

This dress is amazing. I know it looks terrible in this photo, but trust me its amazing. it fits like a glove and is vintage and perfect. I think it was one of the best dollar investments I ever made.

So there are a few of my favorite resent(ish) finds. As much as I love thrift shops I am really getting impatient for yard sale season to start, I miss those early Saturday mornings driving around and looking for sales.
I know this is a really short post but I don't really have time to write much right now.
Have a great Monday everybody!
